The In-Person Viewing Session

After your photo shoot and your images have been edited, I like to sit with my clients for a viewing session. This is where we go through all of the images and choose the favourites.

If you are not available for a viewing at my studio, I do offer online viewing as well. However, I do recommend an in-person viewing session, so that I can be there to immediately answer any questions you may have or offer my professional advise. Seeing the print samples in person can also help you make decisions about your preferences for the final product.

After your favourite photos have been chosen, you will need to decide how your photos will be printed.

There are lots of printing options available to you, including these different types:

1. Traditional prints in frame

Traditional prints can be showcased in a variety of configurations for a pleasing display on your gallery wall.

2. Photo Mount

Photos can be mounted on a thin board which gives sturdiness to the photograph.

3. Gallery Wraps

Gallery Wraps give the appearance of a piece of artwork on canvas with the photograph wrapping around the canvas edge.

4. Box Mount

Similar to a Gallery Wrap, this photo is mounted on a sturdy box instead of canvas. The edges to a box mount will be white.

5. Float Mounts

The photo is mounted on a thin board and has a wire for hanging. This style of framing gives the illusion of the photo floating and is raised away from the wall.

6. Acrylic Finish

Similar to a Float Mount, this Acrylic Finish has a high-gloss coating that mimics glass.

7. Albums & digital files are also available upon request.

Apart from the above 7 types of prints you require, you will also need to decide the size of those prints. The following is a list of the standard sizes available:

  • 8×12
  • 8.5×11
  • 11×14
  • 16×20
  • 20×24
  • 20×30
  • 24×30
  • 24×36
  • 30×40
  • 36×48

The prices will vary depending on your preferences and, at the viewing session, we will go through all of your options.

Because of the number of options available, it is good to come to this viewing session with an idea of where these photos will be displayed in your home and the quantity you will be needing. This is also a great time to bring me your questions about any customization so we can achieve your vision.

Instead of being overwhelmed by the choices, a bit of planning will help clarify your needs. I would love to help you through this process, before we place your order, so you will be thrilled with the final product.
